Prashant Bhardwaj and pictures…

About Prashant Bhardwaj

Whether in the by-lanes of Old Delhi or the public buses of Madhya Pradesh; Around the architecture in London or in the maple lined avenues of rural America, Prashant Bhardwaj sees the world unlike most others do. The shutter release of Prashant’s camera is wired to his finger just so, that he captures moments, emotions and thoughts that are fleeting and almost invisible to those around. For him, “The moment is more important than shutter speed, aperture or exposure.” Prashant’s photography, engages the viewer’s mind, as does a puzzle: where you have to join the dots and come up with your own conclusions which are not limited to the photographer’s vision. This open-ended imagery is Prashant Bhardwaj’s hallmark.

Wanderlust has led this, 30 year old, IT services consultant, to travel extensively in India, UK, Scotland and the American Midwest. Prashant dreams to take up photography full time, focusing on the development sector which is very close to his heart. He concluded a very successful online exhibition and fundraiser in April 2009, titled, 30on30, for Child Rights and Education, supporting Association for Stimulating Knowhow (ASK): where the sale of his photographs raised almost thrice the amount targeted and the prints can be seen on walls in India, America, Canada and Hong Kong.

Prashant’s work has been published internationally, and he has previously shown at the exhibition Sidewalks, at the Global Art Village, New Delhi in November 2008, SIMC Footprints’08 and at World Photography Day exhibition, New Delhi in Aug’09.
